FORMER GHANA captain and head coach of high flying Nania FC, Abedi Pele, says he is not interested in coaching any of the national teams in the country.
No I dont have any interest in coaching the senior national team as its being rumoured, the soccer legend said in reaction to a question as to whether he would coach Ghana one day. He said his target now is to guide Nania FC to higher heights and leave the club to either one his brothers or sons to take over.
The three-time African footballer showed technical ingenuity on Sunday when he guided his club Nania FC to beat Kotoko 1-0 to lift the FA Cup.
Pele said he has not attended any coaching course therefore he is not holding any coaching certificate, stressing that he is only using the experience he gained during his playing days to coach.
He disclosed that he learnt coaching from the numerous coaches that he worked under during his playing career, noting that he is coaching with just passion and love for the game.
Pele said he would trek to Kumasi very soon with the entire Nania FC team to show the FA Cup to his godfather, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
