Ghanas Olympic team head coach Akwasi Appiah is sure of inspiring team confidence despite concerns over unpaid bonuses ahead of the 2011 All Africa Games.
The ex-international has been working with a local contingent of 31-players but bonuses arrears have dampened the spirit of his charges. But he insists he will make the best out of what he has at his disposal ahead of playing holders Cameroon, Uganda and Senegal in Group B.
There have been lot of issues but I think we have no choice but to let them (players) know the importance of the championship in Mozambique, Appiah said. I am happy with the ay the training regime is going and the fact that theyre adapting to the tactics and that for me is crucial.
Weve played some few friendly matches and Im not really concern about the result but the fact that the players will adhere to the psyche and tactics of the game plan.
The team is expected to play Premier League side AshantiGold in Accra in a warm-up match before emplaning to their camping base in South Africa this weekend.
