The President of the Ghana FA has led a high-powered football delegation to the traditional home of deceased Alhaji Sly Tetteh to mourn with friends and family.
The late President of Liberty Professional who met his untimely death while playing the game he loved will be buried today.
An endless list of football administrators, coaches, players, the media and supporters have thronged the Cantonments residence where wake is expected to be kept as messages of condolence flies in from all angles.
The FA Presidents of Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa, Sudan, Tunisia, and The Gambia have all sent their condolences with a majority of them confirming attendance to the burial on Sunday.
Some of the Black Stars players majority of which have all passed through Tetteh’s hands have also visited the venue to pay their final respects. Togolese football icon Emmanuel Adebayor was also spotted amongst dignitaries at the residence.
The team, given permission to visit friends and family converged at their team base at the Movenpick Hotel at 17:30GMT before traveling to London late Saturday night ahead of their international friendly date against Brazil on Monday.
The widely acclaimed Godfather of Ghana football left behind two wives and seven children.
