The fifth edition of the AU Day SoVo Fun Games take place tomorrow, at the Nicholson Sports Stadium in Accra.
The multi-sporting event, which will feature all old students of second cycle institutions in the southern part of the Volta Region, will involve disciplines such as football (gala), volleyball, basketball, 60m dash, 4x100m race, board games, as well as �jama� (cheer-singing) competitions.
Some participating schools are Keta Business, Keta, Sogakope, Anfoegah, Dzodze, Yenyi , St Paul�s, Denu, Zion, Anlo and Mawuli Senior High schools.
According to the head of event organisers, Frank Ayivor, the MTN-sponsored programme will bring together over 1500 former students of the schools to socialise.
He told the Daily Graphic that after four years of its inception, the AU Day SoVo Fun games had fostered unity among sister schools in southern Volta and played a part in the development of the schools and its surrounding communities.
Mr Ayivor noted that the event had also re-united lost friends and created great companions in participating schools and students alike.
