The elder brother of Togolese and Tottenham striker, Kola Adebayor insists his junior brother, Emmanuel Adebayor is suffering from a mental problem and needs urgent attention otherwise he will suffer total madness.
According to him, Adebayor’s reason to tag his mother as a “witch” is unfortunate and senseless.
“I think something is wrong with him [Emmanuel Adebayor]. He is having something...he is having a mental problem and we must check on him very well,” he alleged.
It’s funny how people always accuse other people of using juju or witchcraft immediately something goes wrong in the family. This is a mentality that needs to stop.
That is the case of Kola Adebayor but claims it is no offense for his mother to protect her children spiritually.
“It is not a crime if our mother goes to a Mallam [spiritualist] to pray for Adebayor. My mother is doing all this things to help us but Adebayor just misunderstood everything. I am very sad and angry about Adebayor’s behaviour on this issue,” he told Peace FM’s Peace Power Sports.

Emmanuel Adebayor's family neglect issue emanated when the footballer’s elder sister went on radio to accuse Adebayor of avoiding them, including his own biological mother.
“For the past six years Adebayor has rejected his mother and his immediate family whilst doing charity outside on the note that our mother is a witch,” Adebayor's sister told Peace FM.
“We have been thinking of his future as a footballer and did not want this issue out in the media but it is becoming too much. Could you believe Adebayor ordered his machomen to sack our mother and his own mother from a house he built in Togo claiming she is a witch?
“As we speak our mother lives in an apartment rented by our junior brother, Kola Adebayor, who currently lives in Germany.
“My mother weeps bitterly about the issue every day. Anytime his mother or any of us (his close relatives) call and he realizes, he will quickly cut the line.
“I personally supervised the building of his house in Trassaco and he gave us an apartment in the house. But all of a sudden he changed his attitude towards us, one afternoon his machomen came to drive us away from the house," Margaret told the world openly.
But Adebayor who admitted having problems with his relations, denied the allegation and said they [family]have been the once who have refused to come forward for the situation to be resolved.
“Ask my sister Margaret whether I did not build them a house in East Legon, and what happened to it? I bought my younger sister Lucia a car worth $35,000, where is it?”
“If they want the issue resolved they should stop spreading the news and let’s meet to resolve it but they aren’t willing to do so,” Adebayor said.
However, Kola accused the Mallam who claims to be working with Adebayor’s mom of thievery after describing him as a very “stupid man”.
“I love my mother and will do everything to protect her. I know how she suffered for us and sold her everything to take care of us. We are the people who made Adebayor as he is today by the Grace of God,” he said.
He however described the former African Best Player as a “big lair and a big fool”. “He has no respect…I think people just respect him because of his money. All what he have is vanity upon vanity. I will never forgive him [Adebayor]”.
