Asante Kotoko’s assistant coach Michael Osei insists the team is not distracted by the ongoing legal battle between the club and its former chairman Dr. Desmond Sarpong.
Dr. Sarpong has dragged the club to court in an attempt to retrieve monies he claims are owed him by the club.
Kotoko have however mounted a staunch defence in court against this charge. There are fears the ongoing suit could have an effect on the team’s performance in the various competitions they are involved in.
But assistant coach Michael Osei says the team is only focused on its duties and is not at all distracted by the court case.
“We are focused on ourselves and training to improve the team,” he said.
“We don’t want to be distracted by this court issue.”
