After years on controversy on his religious affiliation, the President of the Ghana Football Association has finally opened up on how he became a Muslim.

The GFA Boss has been heavily criticised by many people in the country for swearing an aoth with the Holy Qur'an during the sitting of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry in 2014.

Many have chastised him for lying to the world for swearing with the Qur'an during that moment but the Wa All Stars owner kept his cool.

In an event at the Marwako Restaurant in Accra where he met prominent Muslim football administrators and sports journalists, Kwesi Nyantakyi who is known in the Muslim circle as Osman disclosed how he became a Muslim.

"I was not born a Muslim. I became a Muslim at the age of five," Kwesi Nyantakyi said.

"My mother is a staunch Muslim but my father is not. My father was a Christian. My mother went to marry a Muslim and all of us became Muslims.

"I attended 'Makaranta' (Islamic School) to learn the Qur'an and I have extensive knowledge of it," he added.

The Ghana FA Boss then advised the gathering on the need to be steadfast in the religion and spoke on five pillars of Islam and the six principles of the religion.
