Former Black Stars skipper and Legon Cities striker Asamoah Gyan say he has lost respect for Accra-based radio station Joy FM and struck them out of his "list".
In a furious Twitter post, Ghana's record scorer said the radio station must "Learn how to respect".
He posted: "I have lost respect for you guys. From today, @Joy997FM is out on my list. You should be ashamed of yourself. Learn how to respect. Smh"
His outburst came hours after the radio station in a tweet asked Ghanaians if Gyan's famous penalty miss at the 2010 FIFA World Cup still hurts them.
Reaction
Gyan's outburst has set tongues wagging on micro-blog Twitter and his name currently sits at the top of the trends in Ghana.
While some are saying his reaction to the tweet was excessive, others insist he deserves some respect as Ghana's record scorer.
Meanwhile, Gyan was not named in the squad for Legon Cities Ghana Premier League clash against Karela United today.
He has missed seven consecutive GPL games and played only 74 minutes since joining Legon Cities on a loan deal worth in excess of $1 million in November last year.
