Match week 9 of the Ghana Premier League which kicked off last Friday in Tarkwa ended on Monday in Sogakope with surprise results and outstanding performances which earned 9 players honours and electronic teodivts from man of the match sponsor, NASCO.
The week kicked off on Friday in Tarkwa where the away side Accra Hearts of Oak convincingly defeated Medeama by two goals to nil.
Salim Adams was given the NASCO man of the match award.
On the same day in Sogakope, Accra Lions drew 1-1 with Samatex at home at the Wafa Park.
Baba Salifu of Accra lions was awarded the NASCO Man of the match award.
Onto the weekends, on Sunday, Nsoatreman drew 2-2 with Bechem at the Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre.
Abdul Rahman and Cudjoe scored for the home side Nsoatreman, while Emmanuel Abban scored an own goal for Bechem.
Walid Fusieni for the home side was awarded the NASCO Man of the match.
In Bibiani, Gold Stars played a goalless draw with Dreams FC despite Dreams FC conceding a red card in the first half.
Frank Amankwah was awarded the NASCO man of the match award.
Vision FC sat home in Tema to play out a goalless draw with Aduana Stars.
Emmanuel Sanja was the NASCO man of the match.
The home side Karela United lost to Nations FC by a goal to nil at the Naa Sheriga sports center in Nalerigu.
Faisal Charwetey scored the only goal for Nations FC. Eric Wiafe was given the NASCO Man of the Match Award.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko surprisingly lost to Kpando Heart of Lions by a lone goal at their adopted home in Obuasi.
Former Hearts of Oak striker Obeng Junior scored the only goal and was as well awarded the NASCO Man of the match for his decisive performance.
In Berekum, Berekum Chelsea drew 2-2 with newly promoted Basake Holy Stars at the Golden City Park.
Sadat Zumah Ibrahim was awarded the NASCO Man of the match Award.
And finally on Monday, Legon Cities defeated Young Apostles by two goals to nil in Sogakope.
Dennis Adoma and Abdul Rahim Yaya scored the goals for the home side.
Aaron Quartey was awarded the NASCO Man of the Match award.
