English U-20 Coach, Brain Eastic says Ghana’s Satellites has the quality to play in the finals of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt after only two group stage wins.
Ghana squeezed four unanswered goals past England in a second Group D duel on Tuesday evening and the coach is convinced the Satellites has the technical, tactical and physical edge to travel as far as the finals of the competition which an African country is yet to win. England was without six of their players due to last minute physical illness but coach Eastic says it will be unfair to make excuses for their loss to a side he calls awesome.“Ghana is an exceptional team and we still will have had problems regardless of the team we had presented.
“They close in very well and have amazing individual players with a lot of experience and play with a free spirit and obviously, they were the better side. “There is no argument about Ghana’s quality and it will be unfair and unprofessional to make excuses against a team that has shown so much potential though I admit we could have done much better.”
England will require a heavy win against Uzbekistan on Friday to posses any realistic chance of finishing among the best and the lucky extra four finishers to join each group’s best two to the next phase of the championship. Ghana, the group leaders with two goals richer than close contenders and next opponent, Uruguay will need at least a draw on Friday to top the group and stay at Ismailia.
