The management of Tema based Division Two side, Emirates FC has secured a slot in the next National Division One League.
Emirates FC acquired the slot from former Premier League campaigners, Tema Real Sportive following successful negotiations between the two sides.
Emirates FC therefore hence be called Emirates Sporting Club Limited and will be under the management of Lawrence Twum Addo - President, Henry Davidson - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Mark Paradise Okocha - Communications Manager.
The Technical Team will be headed by Michael Amanor Akpe with Andrews Quansah as his assistant, whilst Andy Owusu Ansah takes charge of the Youth Team.
Addressing a press in Accra on Wednesday, Addo Twum said Emirates FC has concluded terms of the acquisition of the Club with Real Sportive and is awaiting formal process of the transfer at the secretariat of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Twum Addo said both clubs have signed the necessary legal documents covering the deal, adding that his Club will participate in the edition of the National Division One League.
He, however, noted that the deal is minus players of Real Sportive but stated that they will initiate a move of players of Sportive if the need arises.
The President of the Club said that his outfit will still maintain the Emirates FC in the Division Two League, which will serve as the nursery grounds for Emirates Sporting Club.
Twum Addo said the doors of the Club was open to the media and appealed to them to contact the management on any issues.
The President said the team will maintain Tema as its home venue, adding that they are not interested in making any drastic change to the team.
Paradise Okocha said the Club is in the Division One League to make an impact.
He declared that joining the premiership in the shortest possible time is the prime target of the Club and management will put in place the needed structures and strategies to realise that dream.
The team is expected to commence training soon ahead of the 2009/10 National Division One League.
