A cloud of despondency surrounds the future of the Hearts of Oak supporters body after top officials of the National Chapters Committee were involved in a burst-up.
The tension was heightened on Monday when the organiser of the body Mohammed Alhassan allegedly assaulted the Chairman Alhaji Moro Akanbi at the club's secretariat in Accra.
Reasons for the bust-up are immediately not known but it is believed to be linked with the letter purpoted to have been written to the Board of Dirctors of the club by the NCC boss reminding them about the end of their tenure in office.
There is a sharp division among the executives of the NCC over the presure mounted on the board to relinquish their post following the expiration of their tenure.
Akanbi said:"I don't know what I have done to Alhassan to warrant such an attack on me and I have duly reported the matter to the Police." "I am strongly convinced that the letter that we wrote to remind the Board about their end of tenure of office must have sparked their confusion.
"But what we we did was nothing untoward and just a simple reminder and that was not in any case to to undermined their work or embarrasses them at all."
