Angola and Algeria reached the quarterfinals at the African Cup of Nations after drawing 0-0 Monday.
Angola topped Group A with five points, one more than Algeria and Mali. Malawi finished with three points. Mali beat Malawi 3-1 in the other group game but missed out on advancing to the final eight as it lost 1-0 to Algeria last Thursday.
Algeria will play the top team in Group B and Angola the No. 2 team. Ivory Coast has already advanced from that group, with Ghana and Burkina Faso in contention for the other spot.
