Daniel Opares Standard Liege move to the summit of the Belgian Jupiler League championship play-offs following a 0-1 win at Lokoren on Wednesday night.
The 21-year-old right-back has had an impressive season and played in all eight matches played so far.
His side must beat on-fire Anderlecht on Saturday and secure another win at Genk next Wednesday.
Opare is yet to score in the play-offs but has been lethal on their right-flank and provided assists in some of their wins.
Standard lead the table with superior goal difference after previous leaders Racing Genk lost 3-0 at Club Brugge on Tuesday.
The top six teams from the regular season enter the play-offs, with each team playing their opponents twice.
The point system in the play-offs 1 is the same as during the regular season, except that each team starts with half of the points they won in the regular season.
At the end of the play-offs, the first-placed team becomes the champion of Belgium.
