Hearts of Oak will play Nigerian club Enugu Rangers to commemorate their centenary celebrations, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The decision to play the Nigerian side was bourne out of the clubs inability to match the huge financial demands of some preferred European clubs.
We discussed the prospects of playing an European club but the charge was way to high for us and we realized our projected revenue from the game will not be enough to offset the expenses, Hearts Board Chairman, Commodore Mensah told Accra-based Asempa FM.
The match will be played on Sunday November 13, two days after Hearts at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3pm.
Meanwhile, the clubs supporter wing , the Chapters will engage the media in a friendly on Saturday at the ATTC Park.
A blood donation exercise will take place after the game, all as part of activities marking the centenary.
