Ghanaian top-flight side Hearts of Oak have named some of the countrys richest and top businessmen on its new board after the club went of the stock exchange.
Two of some of the countrys richest men Togbe Afede XIV and David Sidalco Lamptey, a mining magnate, are among the 11 member of the board.
Alhassan Andani, managing director of one of the most successful banks in Ghana, Stanbic Bank Ghana, was also named to steer the affairs of the 2000 African Champions.
Apart from the money-men on the new board, some intellectuals who have massive experience in the game also made in onto the board.
Former club president Dr Nyaho Tamakloe, Professor Kofi Kumado, high court judge Justice Ivy Heward-Mills and Apiigy Afenu return to the fold of the club to give the club the positive direction.
Experience in the day-to-day running of the club was also not neglected as former board chairman E.M Commodore Mensah and ex-vice president Frank Nelson Nwokolo will stay in the board.
Fred Crenstil, the Chief Executive Officer and the NCC Chairman Alhaji Akanbi will complete the pack.
Their first meeting is scheduled for next week where they will appoint the board chairman and company secretary while planning a massive foray into the transfer market to douse the power of the big-spending Berekum Chelsea.
But there were some big losers as Harry Zakkour, Ernest Thompson, Alhaji Hearts and Thomas Okine who have dominated the board over the past 20 years could not make it in the new dispensation.
