The technical bench and players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko would have more money if they win home games in the ongoing league. This pleasant news has been made possible following management’s decision to increase the teams winning bonus for home games.
The sharp increase in bonus of Kotoko’s home matches was sanctioned by Dr. K.K. Sarpong, the Kotoko Executive Board Director.
This was after head coach and former player of Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu had passionately appealed to management to increase the team’s bonuses for home matches. A source who was present when the bonus increased was announced refused to state the amount that Kotoko would now be taking for winning games.
Coach Konadu lamented that the club had not increased bonuses for winning home matches in the past three years; which situation was not the best.
Coach Konadu expressed delight about the decision by management and stated that it would go a long way to motivate the players to do their best for the club.
