Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Helegbe will have to wait a little longer before he makes a bow for the club, MTNFootball.com understands.
The 26-year-old was expected to make his hugely anticipated debut on Sunday but was delayed due to some late concerns about his eligibility to feature for the Porcupine Warriors.
Helegbe was granted a floating status by the Ghana federation after his contract with Liberty Professionals was terminated.
Kotoko wrote to the Federation to seek clarity on the status of the player but they referred the matter to the Legal Committee.
Officials of the Kumasi-based side will meet with the Legal team of the FA before a final decision is made on whether the former Liberty captain can be registered or not.
