Ghana football legend Abedi Pele is convinced heads must roll now to save Ghana football from further plunging into the doldrums which could hurt the Black Stars 2014 World Cup qualifications.

He described the current situation, where the Ghana FA, is unable to decide on the fate of the Black Stars coach, Goran Stevanovic, after a disappointing performance at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, as a crisis moment.

Stevanovic is scheduled to meet the Ghana FA on Friday to make his future certain, but Abedi believes too much time spent on the subject could derail Ghanas chances of a third successive World Cup qualification.

We are all very sad for such a thing to have happened because people are anxious and I can understand because it has gone on a bit too much, Pele told Citi Sports.

For great teams and people who love their country when there is crisis like this the first thing you do is one must be sacrificed; when the team hasnt performed there is only one person who must be sacrificed and they the GFA are failing to do and if we dont take the decision early I dont know what the future is going to be, he added.

Ghana begin its campaign to qualify for Brazil 2014 with two games in June against Lesotho and African champions Zambia.
