SERBIA

Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah continued to impress for Vovojdina over the weekend, playing 90 minutes in their 0-0 draw with Jagodina.

Nathaniel Asamoah remained with the Red Star Belgrade reserves team over the weekend as they beat Hajduk Kula 3-0. Winger Quincy Osei did not play for Kula.

Francis Bossman was excluded from the Sloboda 18-man squad that returned from their trip to Javor Ivanjica with a 3-1 defeat.

GREECE

PAOK Saloniki handed Kerkyra their second straight defeat after beating them 1-0. Abdul Osman did not feature in the Kerkyra team.

FC Porto loanee David Nii Addy played 62 minutes for Panaitolikos which slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Olympiakos Piraeus.

NORWAY

Stromsgodset picked their first points of the season after beating Valerenga 3-2 at the Marienlyst Stadion in Drammen.

Ghana trio of Adam Larsen Kwarasey, Abdul Razak Nuhu and Mohammed Abu all featured full time for Stromsgodset.

Former Ghana U17 captain Paul Addo played full throttle for Odd Grenland which lost 1-0 at Viking. King Osei Gyan warmed the Viking bench.

Former Red Star Belgrade defensive midfielder Awal Issah Mohammed played 82 minutes for Rosenborg which drew 2-2 at Lillestrom.

UAE

Striker Asamoah Gyan bagged a brace to help Al-Ain beat Bani Yas 3-0 on Friday.

The Sunderland loan star scored on the 55th and 84th minutes to take his league tally to 15.

UNITED STATES

Ghana Under-20 midfielder Gershon Koffie was brought on in the 59th minute for Vancouver Whitecaps in their 0-0 draw with Philadelphia Union.

Khalif Alhasaan was left out of the Portland Timbers team that lost 2-3 to Real Salt Lake.

BELGIUM

Defender Daniel Opare watched from the bench as his Standard Liege side lost 3-0 to Gent in the championship play-offs.
