Ex Ghana striker Tony Yeboah believes leading goal scorer in the Ghanaian League Emmanuel Baffour is being over-hyped.
The New Edubiase hitman has scored 20-goals and is in line to break the 11-year record set by Ishmael Addo who scored 22 goals in the 2000/2001 season.
And with five matches left to the end of the current campaign, many believe Baffour could yet be the next big thing in Ghana football but Yeboah who is regarded as probably the best Ghanaian striker ever says the 23-year-old is being over-blown.
The talk of Emmanuel Baffour I believe in all sincerity is just too much, he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
The player is yet to play outside the shores of Ghana where he has to prove himself but already there is talk of him becoming the Black Stars leading striker.
Some of his goals scored have even been aided by referees, some offside decisions here and there.
People are failing to see the big picture. Heaping excessive praises on him rather increases the pressure on the chap who for me is yet to prove himself.
