Asante Kotoko have officially been presented with a mini-bus as part of their prize package for winning the Ghana Premier League.
The 14-seater brand new Hyundai bus is in fulfillment of a promise by the Ghana Football Association in providing buses to the club that emerges the winner of the top fight.
The Porcupine Warriors coasted to their 21st Premier League crown after churning out impressive performances last term.
“This is in fulfillment of what we promised the clubs and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kotoko once again for winning the League title last season,’ Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi said.
“Apart from winning the trophy and the cash prize, we decided three years ago to add a mini bus to it and that is what we have being able to do.
“This move I believe will go a long way to help the club that wins the league.
“We all appreciate that last season’s League was very competitive and we hope it will even be more keener this season.”
The short but impressive ceremony was attended by other high profile Ghana FA officials including Premier League Board Chairman Welbeck Abra-Appiah, Executive Committee member Felix Ansong and Kotoko’s Board member Jerry Asare.
