Ghana defender Daniel Opare remains a doubt for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after a leg injury sidelined him for three months.
The Standard Liege player damaged a fifth metatarsal in his right foot during training last Friday ahead of their league match against Mons Tondreau at the weekend.
This is bad news for the 21-year-old who was making a return to full fitness after battling injuries since the start of the season.
Opare recently claimed a place in the Standard starting line-up and impressed in the Belgian Jupiler League derby against Anderlecht two weeks ago.
The right-back is yet to realize his full potential since bursting on the scene in 2007 at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Korea.
Opare signed for Real Madrid but injuries affected his first team chances and then moved to Belgium two seasons.
He was an unused player when Ghana finished fourth at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
