Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey wants Fatau Dauda to be maintained as first choice goalkeeper ahead of Thursdays clash against Mali.
The former Anderlecht player was impressed with the performance of the AshantiGold shot-stopper during Sundays 2-2 draw with DR Congo.
Though, the 27-year-old conceded two goals, Lamptey believes the locally-based goalkeeper did more than enough to hold onto the number one position.
Fatau Dauda was excellent today [Sunday] and with such competitions you dont change goalkeepers unless he is injured, Lamptey said.
Though [Adam] Kwarasey is playing in Europe, Fatau has a lot of experience from the local scene and for me personally I think he was fantastic in post and must be maintained.
