Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is a major doubt for Thursdays crucial game against Mali in their second group B game.
The pocket-size midfielder aggravated his knee injury during the opening game against DR Congo on Sunday.
The Osasuna player will start from the bench as he is yet to fully recuperate from the injury.
We have some injury situation with Annan. He has not fully recovered, Ghana team doctor Adamu said
We have to monitor the situation and see how it goes.
Evian midfielder Rabiu Mohammed will take his place.
