Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah believes the changes he made against Mali worked to perfection.
Coach Appiah made three changes to his starting line-up against the Eagles at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth.
Strong centre-back Isaac Vorsah played his first game for the side in the competition while Harrison Afful enjoyed his first start.
Evian midfielder Rabiu Mohammed took the place of injured Anthony Annan and impressed heavily.
The Black Stars dominated and created many scoring chances but could only manage a narrow 1-0 win over their opponent.
Their trainer Kwesi Appiah lauded the performance of the players who had a shot against the Malians.
Vorsah is one of the best two central defenders in our country. During the first game he had an injury and for that reason he was on the bench, Appiah said
But as to those who came on, you always choose players on tactical reasons.
Those who can play a particular tactical game against the opponent.
Ghana will next play Niger in the final group B game on Monday.
