Kotoko goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye says he has given his Burkina Faso team-mates the secrets of defeating Ghana ahead of their semi-finals clash at the Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday.

The two sides clash at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit for a place in the last four of Africa’s flagship football competition.

Soulama, who plays his club football in Ghana for the Asante Kotoko, returns from suspension for the Burkinabes after serving a three-match ban.

He has revealed Ghana’s secrets to the Stallions by telling them that there is nothing special about the Ghana national team.

Abdoulaye says he knows so much about the Ghanain team and has given his coach and team mates tips on how to stop the Black Stars.

“Ghana is a good team, but there is nothing special. I have seen most of the players grow and I know we can beat them.I know how they play,” said Soulama.

The goalkeeper, who is the oldest member of the Stallions squad having played in the 1998 squad that reached the semi finals at home, is happy with what his team has achieved so far.

“We are so far proud of how we have played. Nobody had thought we would reach the semi finals especially given we were in a group that also had champions Zambia and Nigeria,” Soulama said.

“But here we are, we are unbeaten so far and we know we can go all the way to win the title,” said Soulama, now 33.
