Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani has hailed his teams fighting spirit and commitment in the 3-3 draw with Liberty Professionals.
The champions had to come from behind twice to claim a point before their expectant home fans at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
An injury time penalty kick well converted by defender Kwaben Edusei saved Kotoko from an unlikely defeat.
This was after a brace by Kennedy Ashia took the visitors ahead after they opened the scoring with an own-goal from Josephe Ochaya.
Goals from Ransford Osei and Seidu Bancey had pulled the hosts level before the late drama in Kumasi.
And coach Dramani gives credit to the fighting spirit of his boys though admitting they could have done better with their defending.
I think that today we didnt defend well. The second and third goals were goals we could have avoided, he said.
The boys did well by fighting and it showed they were very committed when we were down.
