Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, Minister of Youth and Sports has urged the Black Stars to maintain the momentum in the remaining matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Stars face the Desert Hawks of Sudan on Friday, June 7 in Omdurman before squaring the Crocodiles of Lesotho nine days later in Maseru, and the Minister has charged them to return unscathed from both games.
A statement signed by Michael Frimpong, Head of Public Relations on behalf of the Minister said victories in the two games will smoothen the teams path to a third successive appearance at the Mundial.
I urge them to sustain the momentum in the upcoming return match against Sudan in order to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Black Stars should be mindful of Zambias lead in Group D, for this reason, it is imperative that we win this and the remaining matches to place Ghana in a better position to qualify for the 2014 World Cup, Afriyie-Ankrah said.
He further advised the technical and management teams to continue to work hard to ensure that the team is better conditioned for the games ahead.
Meanwhile, the Minister is expected to be in Omdurman for the game.
