Goalkeeper Richard Kingson is expected to sign for Cypriot top-flight side Doxa Katokopia in the coming days to end his two-year inactivity, MTNFootball can exclusively reveal.
The former Ghana first choice gloves man arrived at the Larnaca Airport in Cyprus on Monday to put pen to paper.
He has been without a club since May 2011 when he was released by former English Premier League side Blackpool.
The 34-year-olds lack of football denied him international football after being overlooked for the 2012 and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Kingsons return could put him back in line for a national team call-up for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals if Ghana qualify.
His rich experience includes two FIFA World Cup finals and five appearances at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Doxa finished seventh in the 2012/2013 regular season.
