Asamoah Gyan inists he is not distracted with the various things he is involved in aside football.
The Black Stars captain aside being a part-time musician, runs his own boxing syndicate; the Baby Jet Promotions.
Gyan is also one of the brand ambassadors for telecommunication firm Globacom and also has holdings in several business within and outside Ghana.
Critics however believe the Al Ain ace is being distracted by the several ventures he is involved in especially whenever he fails to deliver with the national team.
But the 27-year-old is adamant his other football unrelated businesses are not a distraction but rather his way of giving back to community.
“I am a footballer and I do concentrate on my career but sometimes I do all these things to help the people,” he said.
“Me coming into boxing is not about anything. I realized and observed there are a lot of talents that people don’t know about.
“I am a footballer and I do help a lot of young players coming up but it is not all about just football, football.
“Anytime we go to Olympic Games or something and there is no football, if Ghana doesn’t participate in football then we are done.
“People say I am a multi-talented man but I do all these things by the grace of God.
“The music for instance is done in my leisure time but the main things is football.”
