Ghana winger Christian Atsu has been left out of FC Porto’s provisional squad for the 2013-14 season, Goal Ghana can exclusively reveal.
The squad for the 2013-14 season took to the stage to showcase their jersey numbers on Saturday night including young striker Kelvin, who grabbed an unforgettable goal against Benfica in the final game last season.
Atsu, who is having an impasse with the club and is bent on leaving for Liverpool, was not at the colourful ceremony giving credence to the fact that he wants to leave the Dragao.
The party began with the now famous dragon dance, in which the coach Paulo Fonseca also participated, followed by a trip through the history of FC Porto, revisiting the 120 years of the club, remembering the most iconic moments.
FC Porto's provisional squad for 2013-14:
Goalkeepers: Helton, Fabiano, Kadú
Defenders: Mangala, Diego Reyes, Alex Sandro, Adoulaye, Danilo, Maicon, Fucile.
Middle: Tiago Rodrigues, Carlos Eduardo, Fernando Herrera, Defour, Izmailov, Lucho Gonzalez, Castro, Joshua Otamenti.
