Turkey-based striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene has been ruled out of the Ghana � Turkey international friendly on Wednesday.
The Şanlıurfaspor player picked up an injury on Sunday and would miss a chance to earn a debut cap for the Black Stars.
He has described the situation as �unfortunate.�
�It's unfortunate I will not be available for Ghana against Turkey after the injury I suffered in yesterday's [Sunday] friendly game for my club,� the former Heart of Lions forward told Footy-Ghana.
�My team doctor will be assessing the extent of injury today [Monday] so I know how long I will be staying out.�
The Black Stars will play Turkey on August 14 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium at 19:30 GMT.
