FIFA is considering its decision of allowing Cairo to host the World Cup play-off return leg against Ghana, Sepp Blatter has revealed.
The West African powerhouse are unhappy with the decision to play the game at the North African county which has been embroiled in social and political unrest.
Ghana�s sports minister Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has traveled to Zurich to meet FIFA boss Sepp Blatter over the decision as he seeks further assurances for the Black Stars, officials and supporters.
In his first public statement, Sepp Blatter has revealed the world governing body will thread cautiously in ensuring lives and properties are safe.
�I�m looking forward to an African game, which is scheduled now to be played in Cairo between Egypt and Ghana," Blatter told FIFA TV
"I had a call from the President of Ghana yesterday through Abedi Pele, who is saying we (FIFA) should be very careful because they fear that something could happen there.
"But we must be careful because finally we are responsible for the organization of these last matches."
Ghana president John Dramani Mahama asked legend Abedi Pele to persuade the FIFA boss to switch the match venue from the unstable Cairo.
The Black Stars beat the Pharaohs 6-1 in the first leg in Kumasi and must now avoid conceding five unanswered goals to qualify to the World Cup in Brazil.
The unlawful overthrow of President Mohammed Morsi has led to a situation of political and social unrest in Cairo.
