With Fifa scheduled to set a deadline in May for all 32 World Cup teams to present their squads for Brazil 2014, Kwesi Appiah has almost completed his squad list.
Indeed, the Ghana coach has 20 automatic players who will definitely be on the plane to South America.
Appiah, 53, has only recently returned from a trip to South Africa where he kept an eye on the Ghana side that placed second in the African Nations Championships - but he still is keeping his options open.
I have said this from day one that it is only when you are clubless that you will miss my team because I cannot justify why I must call a player who is inactive at club level into my World Cup squad, he told Asempa FM on Monday.
As a coach there is no way you can say you dont have a rough idea of the players you need at a tournament with just some few months to go. There are some players that I have reduced my scope and concentrating on them for the World Cup and the only thing I am praying against is injuries or something of that sort.
Saying that I can confidently say I have 18-20 of the players who will automatically make my squad to Brazil barring any injury.
It is expected that the coach will use Ghana's pre-tournament games with Costa Rica, Honduras, and Holland to tune up the side before facing Group G opponents USA, Germany and Portugal.
