The former Black Queens player thinks it is not necessary to consider taking wives and girlfriends of Ghana players to the World Cup in Brazil.
Mercy Tagoe, a former player of the Ghana senior womens team has described as unnecessary the idea behind allowing wives and girlfriends to follow the Ghana players to the World Cup.
A section of the Ghanaian media reported last two weeks that the team psychologist has submitted a proposal to the Ghana FA to consider the move.
Even though the Ghana FA subsequently rubbished the reports, the development has since gained a lot of momentum on sports programmes on radio and television.
Sharing her thoughts on the issue, the retired FIFA referee and current assistant coach of Ghana Premier League side, Amidaus Professionals says it is a non-starter.
There is no need for you to take your wife or girlfriend to the camp, it is not necessary.
You need to be focused, do your work, get whatever you want from the work, and your wife would be the happiest person.
It is a matter of the psychologist doing his work and getting the player prepared mentally, she told Accra based, Radio XYZ.
Forget about the sex aspect, your wives are always there for you after the World Cup.
You can go ten rounds a day, if you want. But that should not happen at the World Cup.
There is more sleep after death, she proverbially added.
