Brazilian referee Sandro Ricci, the first official to award a World Cup goal with the aid of goal-line technology, has been put in charge of Germany�s Group G match against Ghana in Fortaleza on Saturday.
The 39-year-old from Brasilia awarded a goal using camera evidence after France striker Karim Benzema�s shot in the 48th minute against Honduras on Sunday went over the line off Honduras keeper Noel Valladares.
Prior to Brazil 2014, Sandro Ricci in the previous year covered four matches at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey in addition to two matches at the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup, where he officiated the final between Bayern Munich and Raja Casablanca.
Sandro Ricci hails from Brasilia the capital of the host nation, Brazil and is 39 years of age.
