Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah was taken to hospital for scans on a suspected broken jaw on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old left the teams camp on Tuesday morning to the Korle-Bu hospital in the company of two Ghana FA doctors to do further assessment of his suspected injury.
Black Stars doctor Adamu Baba wants to be sure of Brimahs situation before clearing him to rejoin his international teammates for the trip to Lome.
Dr. Baba alongside Dr. Prince Pambo drove the Spain-based goalkeeper to the hospital on Tuesday morning ahead of the teams departure to Lome.
Brimah came off training on Monday with a broken tooth after a clash with striker Jordan Ayew.
But the Ghana medical team wants to be sure there is nothing more to the visible injury.
The CD Mirandes goalkeeper is however expected to join the team at the airport for Wednesdays 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo.
