Ghana midfielder Michael Essien could be on the move to the MLS in January, according to reports.
The 31-year old is seen as surplus to requirements at Milan, with the Italian outfit ready to cash in on in January; the USA his most likely destination, according to Tuttosport.
This comes just a day after Essien switched representatives to US-based Clavijo Soccer Agency, operated by Nicolas Clavijo son of former player and now-FC Dallas Technical director Fernando Clavijo fuelling speculation of a potential stateside switch.
Essien joined the Rosonneri on a free transfer from Chelsea in January but has had his Milan career blighted by injuries and lack of game time.
With his contract set to expire next summer, the Serie A club will look to make some cash from a possible transfer and are looking to act in January.
