Ghana Champions Asante Kotoko continued their woes after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of division one side Wassaman United in the first leg of the outstanding Elite Cup match on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors were pip by the former Premier League campaigners at the Dompim Park in Tarkwa to continue their grief after suffering a painful exit from the CAF Champions League.
Kotoko are yet to recover from a throbbing elimination in Africa’s Inter-Club competition having managed only a win in their last three matches.
Coach David Duncan’s side will now have to recover from the slender defeat to win the reverse encounter of the Elite Cup match at the Babayara Sports Stadium in other to confirm their place in the final 16 of the novel competition.
