Black Stars players and officials will visit affected victims of the disastrous flood and fire outbreak that occurred in the country last Wednesday. Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.
All players together with the technical team, management members and some FA executive committee members will pay a visit to the victims at the hospitals and their respective homes.
Ghanasportsonline.com’s Saddick Adams on Friday raised consents about the need of the Ghana football Association to assemble the armada of stars available and lead them to the Hospitals where most of these victims are on treatment. And also to the victim support centre if there's any.
This however sparked massive thoughts and consents among the Ghanaian public which has eventually propelled the Ghana football Association and the government to take the step.
The Nation was hit by one of the most tragic incidence in recent times after over 200 souls were perished due to the torrential rainfall in Ghana last Wednesday leading to an explosion of the Goil filling station in Accra which eventually killed and injured several individuals around.
Several Black Stars players since then have expressed their sympathy and condolence to the families of the affected victims.
Captain Asamoah Gyan, Jonathan Mensah, Christian Atsu, Rabiu Mohammed etc all took to social media to express their commiseration to the victims.
Ghanasportsonline.com can however confirm that players of the team will pay a visit at the hospitals ahead of next Sunday’s crucial AFCON qualifier against Mauritius at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The team are currently in Accra preparing for their upcoming friendly with Togo at the Accra Sports Stadium today and will proceed with a visit to the victims tomorrow at the 37 and Ridge hospitals.
Last Wednesday’s untimely occurrence is considered as one of the biggest catastrophes to have hit the country so far.
