Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson’s has been ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging a ligament in his side’s 2-1 win over Bechem United, reports in the media has indicated.
The 24-year-old was stretched off after sustaining an injury in a hard-fought win at the Babayara Sports Stadium last Sunday.
Ainooson was forced out of the game in the 66th minute and had to be substituted by veteran Stephen Oduro.
The injury according to reports will keep him out of action for more than two months which could hence see him miss the team’s remaining games in the League.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs guardsman has had a neck-raking season so far with the Porcupine Warriors who are currently 8th on the League table.
The hard-tackling defender recently returned from an injury which kept him out for two-three weeks.
