Black Stars winger Christian Atsu is expecting more Ghanaians in the English Premier League after compatriot Jordan Ayew joined Premiership side Aston Villa.
Ayew signed a five-year deal with Villa on Monday hence joining his senior brother Andre Ayew, Leicester City left wing-back Jeffery Sclupp and Christian Atsu himself.
The Bournemouth attacker in an interview with Accra-based Starr FM was impressed with the increasing number of Ghanaians in the EPL hence expecting more of his colleagues to join the League.
“I am very happy and I want more of them to join the English Premier League so we can help the Black Stars.”
“I pray that everything will go on well for them and I hope everyone get a good season.”
Atsu joined newly-promoted side Bournemouth from Chelsea after a fruitless loan stint at Everton.
