Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman has been named in Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League squad to face FC Porto tonight.
The 21-year-old was part of the team that travelled to Portugal for the big game at the Estádio do Dragão.
Rahman who joined Chelsea this summer from German Club Augsburg has only made two appearances for the blues featuring in their UEFA Champions League and League Cup wins over Macaabi Tel Aviv and Wallsal respectively.
The Ghanaian international having excelled in all two games for the Club could be earning yet another opportunity to play at the left-back position in today’s game.
Serbian international Barislav Ivanovic has struggled to keep up his momentum given Jose Mourinho no other choice than to re-invite the youngster to the team for the game against the former European Champions.
The impressive left-back missed out in Chelsea’s disappointing 2-2 stalemate with Newcastle United over the weekend.
