Ade Coker has charged the Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Administration to immediately resolve the conflict with Ghana's national female team, Black Queens.
The Black Queens defeated Cameroun to win gold in the 2015 All African Games and have been demanding payment of their allowances to a tune of 28000 dollars from the Sports Ministry.
The team are owed $28000 but are only asking for $11,000 after winning gold at the All Africa Games.
Addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) called on the football authorities to handle the conflict tactfully.
He urged them to ensure that the players get the amount due them for excelling in the games and lifting the flag of Ghana high.
According to Ade Coker, it is embarrassing for the authorities to allow President John Dramani Mahama to intervene and ensure that the Black Queens are paid.
"It’s not the best. Something untoward has happened that we must find out from the authorities what is going on.”
Meanwhile, President Mahama, who is currently in the US, has given a directive for the female players to be paid $5000.
