Ashanti Gold CEO, Kudjo Fianoo has made a staggering revelation after disclosing that he lost a place on the FA executive Committee after refusing to play a fix match in the First Capital plus Premier League.
Fianoo failed to retain his position on the decision making unite of the Ghana FA after pulling minimum votes in Tuesday’s executive committee elections.
The deputy management committee chairman of the Black Stars was surpassed by Albert Commey, Samuel Opoku Nti, Frank Nelson, George Afriyie, Delali Eric Senaye and Nab Benjamin Eyison after pulling just five votes.
The astute football administrator who sense conspiracy in the election says his decision not to play fix matches in the just ended Ghana Premier League resulted in his failure to land a place on the Executive Committee.
“I did not win the FA election because I did not play a fix match,” he told Obuasi-based radio station Shaft Fm.
“If that is the case then am happy for being punished for doing the right thing.”
Kudjo Fianoo led Ashanti Gold to win the domestic top-flight for the first time after 19 years.
