Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom was named the best defender in week 29 of the Turkish Super League over the weekend.
The 25-year-old excelled in Antalyaspor’s impressive 4-2 win at home over Galatasery last Saturday.
Inkoom after the match was declared as the player with most interception which ultimately earned him the player of the week accolade.
The Ghanaian international was influential to help his side earn an important point against a highly-rated Galatasery side.
The former FC Basel and Asante Kotoko right-back seems to have regained his form since moving to Turkey from Portuguese side Boavista.
He has so far made 13 appearances for the Turkish side since joining in the winter transfer.
His performance could certainly earn him a call-up back into the Black Stars team ahead of the team’s Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mauritius and Rwanda.
