Police are set to charge and arraign former Black Stars Defender John Painstil before court following his arrest and detention for assaulting an officer and allegedly stealing his wife’s vehicle.
Mr Painstil was placed in police custody Tuesday, May 24, for assaulting a cop and allegedly stealing his wife’s car.
The former Fulham Star was invited by the East Legon police over a complaint by his wife that he had stolen her vehicle.
But, Mr. Painstil became angry during interrogation and hit the district police commander and the investigator.
