Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has threatened to sue political journalist Mugabe for his recent allegation about the Shanghai SIPG forward.
Mugabe allegedly revealed on his show that the 30-year-old had funded opposition party NPP by helping in important arms and machetes.
The issue which has since sparked controversy in the media saw the Ghanaian footballerexpressing his disappointment towards the Muntie FM presenter.
Gyan in a latest development have threatened to take legal action against the Journalist for false reportage.
“He should concentrate on his politics and leave the sports people alone. He should be ready because I have spoken to my lawyer regarding his irresponsible comment,” Gyan told Hot FM.
"I'm a footballer not a politician, so Mugabe should get that into his head. What he is doing is not journalism, I have a lot of respect for the industry but people like him want to destroy it.
"Mugabe is an irresponsible journalist, he has a psychological problem, those claims are totally false,” Gyan fumed.
The Ghanaian international is currently in China with his Club Shanghai SIPG.
