Ghana has overtaken Ivory Coast to become Africa's second best side in the latest ranking released by FIFA on Thursday.
The Black Stars swooped to overtake the Elephants on the global and continental ranking - boosting the confidence of the players of the national team.
Ghana were 36th in last month's ranking and they moved up one rung to occupy the 35th place in the global ranking.
Ivory Coast dropped one place which paved the way for the Black Stars to take over the second position even though both sides did not play any match during the period of assessment.
Ghana will now set their sights on gaining the first place in Africa as leaders Algeria in 32 position are just three rungs away.
